The studio
Slow work, for wild things.
Brendan McCarthy draws Africa’s wildlife in charcoal on canvas, one portrait at a time. Each piece starts with a light grid and is built up stroke by stroke until the animal looks back at you.
Originals are available to purchase, and Brendan takes a small number of commissions each year.
